JONATHAN TUCKER (Julien Solas) – LEAD

Jonathan Tucker recently starred in the Indie Film PALM TREES AND POWER LINES which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2022. Tucker lead the NBC series DEBRIS where he portrayed Bryan Beneventi. Notable roles over the past few years have been the villain in Sony’s CHARLIE’S ANGELS REBOOT directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Kristen Stewart, a lead in the Showtime series CITY ON A HILL opposite Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge, “Low-Key Lyesmith” in AMERICAN GODS for Starz and one of WESTWORLD’s most memorable villains, “Mr. Craddock” for HBO. In 2018 he played the lead role in Guy Nattiv’s short film SKIN, which went on to win the Academy Award for “Best Live Action Short.” Tucker is perhaps best known for his role in DirectTV’s hit series KINGDOM with Frank Grillo and Nick Jonas. Other credits include SNOWFALL and JUSTIFIED for FX, PARENTHOOD, THE BLACK DONNELLYS, Jamie Dagg’s SWEET VIRGINIA with Jon Bernthal, Chris Abbott and Imogen Poots, Sofia Coppola’s THE VIRGIN SUICIDES, New Line’s THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE RUINS for DreamWorks. Tucker will next appear in Hulu/Annapurna’s anthology series MONSTERLAND opposite Kaitlyn Dever.

EDI GATHEGI (James Fincher)

Critically acclaimed, Kenyan-born actor/producer, Edi Gathegi has starred in film, television, and theatre.  

He can be seen in Netflix western feature “The Harder They Fall” produced by Jay Z in which Gathegi stars as ‘Bill Pickett’ alongside Idris Elba, Regina King, LaKeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz.  Next up, he has joined Joel Kinnaman and the cast of the high-profile Apple TV+ sci-fi drama “For All Mankind” in a new series regular role and is currently filming the upcoming fourth season.  Additionally, he stars in the Crackle series “StartUp” as the Haitian patriarch ‘Ronald Dacey,’ opposite Ron Perlman and Martin Freeman currently available on Netflix. Edi has just completed feature film Aporia opposite Judy Greer and releases theatrically later this year.

Gathegi can also be seen in Sam Esmail’s USA network show “Briarpatch,” starring as A.D. Singe opposite Rosario Dawson.  His recent film credits include “Pimp” produced by Lee Daniels, “Better Start Running” with Jeremy Irons, “The Last Thing He Wanted,” directed by Dee Rees, starring Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck, the feature film “Caged,” which he also executive produced, and critically acclaimed indie feature “Princess of the Row,” executive produced by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, which Gathegi stars in and also produced under his Shifty Eye Productions banner.

Gathegi made his off-Broadway stage debut in Signature Theatre’s “Jesus Hopped the A Train,” which garnered him an Obie Award, a special award at the Drama Desk Awards and a Lucille Lortel Nomination. Prior to that, he made his Los Angeles stage debut top-lining “Superior Donuts” at the prestigious Geffen Playhouse, which garnered him an Ovation Award nomination, an NAACP award, and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award for lead actor.

Initially well recognized for the recurring role as ‘Dr. Cole’ (aka: “Big Love”) on FOX’s hit television series “House,” Gathegi went on to join the ensemble cast of the box office phenomenon, “Twilight,” and its sequel “New Moon.” From vampire to mutant, he joined the cast of Matthew Vaughn’s, “X-Men: First Class,” in which he was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for movie chemistry. Additionally, he played opposite Jennifer Beals on TNT’s “Proof,” appeared on AMC’s “Into the Badlands,” as well as on NBC’s hit drama, “The Blacklist,” and it’s spin-off series “The Blacklist: Redemption.”

Gathegi’s other notable film credits include “Criminal Activities” with John Travolta, “Bleeding Heart” starring alongside Jessica Biel, “The Watcher,” “Gone Baby Gone” directed by Ben Affleck, “Death Sentence” with Kevin Bacon and the cult classic action black comedy “Crank” starring Jason Statham. Past television credits include “Family Tools,” “Red Widow,” “Justified,” “CSI,” “CSI: Miami,” “Veronica Mars,” “Lincoln Heights” and the critically acclaimed but short-lived “Life on Mars.”

Gathegi graduated from NYU’s famed MFA program for acting and currently resides in Los Angeles.

CLARK PETERS (Detective Solomon Smith)

The word ‘versatile’ doesn’t even begin to describe the multi-faceted career of actor, singer, writer and director, Clarke Peters. With a career spanning over four decades, Clarke Peters continues to work seamlessly across theatre, film, and television. Clarke was most recently seen in the Showtime series THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris. He can currently be seen in the Sony and TriStar Pictures biopic I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, the upcoming feature about the late musical icon Whitney Houston. The film reunited Clarke with Director Kasi Lemmons who directed Clarke in the 2019 biopic HARRIET for Focus Features. He recently starred in the AMC mini- series, LA FORTUNA, opposite Stanley Tucci and in THE FOUNDATION for Apple+, and recurred in the Netflix series, THE IRREGULARS. Previously, Clarke was seen in the HBO & BBC One series, HIS DARK MATERIALS, with James McAvoy and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Clarke also starred in Spike Lee’s critically acclaimed Netflix film, DA 5 BLOODS opposite Chadwick Boseman, Jonathan Majors and Delroy Lindo. The film was named Best Film Of 2020 By the National Board Of Review and has earned Clarke several nominations (including NAACP, SAG Awards, and BAFTA) for his performance. Clarke was a series regular on the OWN drama, LOVE IS, and had a supporting role in the Oscar winning film, THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING MISSOURI. Clarke’s illustrious television career includes series regular roles including fan favorites: ‘Lester Freamon’ on HBO’s THE WIRE and ‘Albert Lambreaux’ in TREME, AMC’s THE DIVIDE, BBC’s JERICHO and Hulu’s CHANCE among many others. Other notable credits include SHOW ME A HERO, DAMAGES, THE DEUCE, THE BLACKLIST, TRUE DETECTIVE, Sky Atlantic’s THE TUNNEL, WGN’s UNDERGROUND, BBC2’s LONDON SPY opposite Ben Whishaw and Charlotte Rampling, and the Marvel for Netflix production of JESSICA JONES with Krysten Ritter. He’s also been in many successful films such as, JOHN WICK, MARLEY AND ME, FREEDOM LAND, and RED HOOK SUMMER. His theater credits include: ‘Othello’ at Sheffield Crucible, ‘Race’ at the Hampstead Theatre, ‘King Lear’ with the New Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park, Trevor’s Nunn’s 2006 production of ‘Porgy and Bess’ and the 1999 production of ‘The Iceman Cometh’. Clarke has also established himself in the voiceover world, lending his voice to several BBC projects and documentaries including Black Music in Europe, covering music from the late 19th century to the present day, and the Colson Whiteheads Underground Railway audio book for the BBC. Most recently, Clarke recorded S.H. Fernando’s book From the Streets of Shaolin: The Wu-Tang Saga. Aside from his acting and voiceover credits, Clarke is also an accomplished director and musical book writer, most notably for Five Guys Named Moe.

NICK SEARCY (Sheriff Kirby Hooper)

Nick Searcy can currently be seen in the THE OLD WAY starring opposite Nicolas Cage. Nick also stars as ‘James Baker’ in Sean McNamara’s upcoming film REAGAN opposite Dennis Quaid. Nick just received rave reviews for villainous turn as the lead antagonist in director Michael Polish’s film TERROR ON THE PRAIRIE. He also stars in the HBO Max film HOTEL COPPELIA.

Known best for his work as ‘Art Mullen’ on the FX series JUSTIFIED, Nick’s other recent film work includes such films as Guillermo Del Toro’s THE SHAPE OF WATER and THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI where he starred alongside Frances McDormand and Caleb Landry Jones. Recently Nick shot an arc on season two of MANHUNT. Prior to that he shot the film BEST OF ENEMIES with Taraji P. Henson and Sam Rockwell and starred in THE HOT ZONE for Nat Geo with Julianna Margulies. Searcy established himself early on, starring in such hits as FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, THE FUGITIVE, CAST AWAY and NELL.

JILL JANE CLEMENTS (Jill Campbell)

Jill Jane’s television credits include The Walking Dead, Survivor’s Remorse, Outcast, Rectify, and Netflix’s Ozark and Bloodline. Recently she appeared in Rory Scovell’s TV series Robbie which can be viewed on Paramount+. Some of her film credits are Dan’s Bush’s The Dark Red and The Vault, as well as The Free State of Jones, Flight, The Internship, The Best of Enemies, Rings, The Banker, Masterminds, My Cousin Vinny and Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers.

JUSTIN WELBORN (Tyler Wilson)

Justin Welborn is a Los Angeles based television, film, theater and commercial artist who is best known for his television role as Carl on the FX hit show JUSTIFIED (Seasons 5 & 6), and the tracker Floyd Wilson from the Netflix award winning series GODLESS, directed by Scott Frank and produced by Steven Soderbergh. He has guest starred on HBO’S SHARP OBJECTS, Showtimes Good Lord Bird with Ethan Hawke, CBS’ MACGYVER, NCIS, HAWAII 5-0, & BODY of PROOF (for the two part 2nd Season Finale), BONES on FOX, SHOOTER for USA, Nickelodeon’s iCARLY & NBCs GAME OF SILENCE.  He starred in the 1997 Sundance Festival cult classic the Signal, and was also featured in fourth installment of the The Final Destination franchise, the 2010 remake of the Crazies, Barry Levinson’s the Bay, Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2, 2018 horror hit Beyond the Gates, and Blue Like Jazz (a Kickstarter fan funded film based on the best selling novel of the same name by Donald Miller!). Justin has worked on all of Gregg Bishop’s feature length horror films including The Other Side, Dance of the Dead, VHS Viral, as Dante the Great and SiREN, as the occult procurer Mr.Nyx. He stars in several recent short films including Of Mine for the Alliance of Women Directors, Buckles and Bedbug for Joe Ballarini, author of the Babysitters Guide to Monster Hunting, Blood on my Name for Whitestone Pictures, and Lady Bouncer for HBO’s Director Development Program. He also recently featured in the horror podcast Video Palace for Shudder.  Justin is the Producer, Host and MC at Bootleg Theaters monthly bout of Literary Bloodsport, WRITE CLUB: Los Angeles. He also works with 7 Stages Theater in Atlanta, Ga, directing original work productions of Dracula: the Rock Opera, and Black Metal Burlesque. Currently he is producing two podcasts on Sirius XM Radio. Cargo Cult is a show all about the Movies, Movements and Moments that define the American cultural landscape seen through the lense of the Trucking Industry, and Snake Ponchatrains Places You Wouldn’t Wanna Go Unless You’re With Snake Ponchatrain, a madcap adventure through a John Carpenter type world infected with a big helping of HP Lovecraft craziness.

SAMANTHA ASHLEY (Dena Fincher)

Samantha Ashley was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. Samantha spent her high school days performing in community theatre in her hometown. Relocating to Tampa Florida, she earned her degree in theatre and began to take acting classes. Today Samantha resides in Los Angeles, California and is a working actress. Recent credits include a lead in the gritty Western, Seven Cemeteries, starring alongside Danny Trejo, and she also recently worked opposite Shailene Woodley in Robots. Guest starring in Station 19. Recurring in the CW’s Roswell and Showtime’s The Curse, starring Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder. The Mantawauk Caves was Samantha’s first experience with voice-over work but for her, it felt no different than what she brings to the stage or to the camera. 

BRAD CARTER – Dooley Tapert

Born in Fort Worth Texas and raised outside of Macon Georgia, Brad Carter is an accomplished actor, voice over artist, comedian, musician, film score composer, photographer, teacher, painter, and sculptor.

After completing a BFA in fine art from Valdosta State University in 1997, Brad lived as a professional guitarist until the age of 29 when he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a life as an actor.

Over the past twenty years, Brad has carved out a respectable career as a character actor in Hollywood appearing in some of TV’s most notable projects including Justified, Dexter, True Detective, Yellowstone, and Ozark, to name a few. Over the years Brad starred in 46 national commercials, most memorable being the salty grocery-store prospector “Shelly” in the popular Kraft Velveeta Shells and Cheese commercials. Most recently, he can be seen in the grind-house thriller “Candy Land” and he has a recurring role in an upcoming series from the Marvel Universe.

In 2013 Brad gained worldwide notoriety as the first live-streamed brain-surgery patient, while strumming guitar during his elective brain-surgery from the OR at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital, to address complications of a movement disorder called Essential Tremor. Brad went on to publicly speak numerous times about the experience on behalf of the UCLA Neurosciences Department. This surgery can still be found around the internet with a simple search.

Brad currently spends his time between projects as a photographer and acting coach in Atlanta, and is completing a record of original music under the artist name “Fieldhand”.

SCOTT POYTHRESS(Reverend Perkins)

Scott Poythress has worked professionally for over 32 years on stage, studio features, indie films, commercials and lending his voice to both video games and scripted podcasts. As an actor, producer, director and now award-winning editor he continues to stay busy on both the east and west coast. Most recently he guest-starred opposite Giancarlo Esposito in a new series for AMC, Parish, airing later this year. He also produced and stars in the indie psychological thriller I Trapped the Devil which can currently be seen streaming on Hulu and all VOD platforms. Currently, he can be seen in the Amazon Prime series, The Underground Railroad, written for the screen and directed by Barry Jenkins. You can also catch Scott in Greenland opposite Gerard Butler. As a co-founder and co-owner of Drama Inc. since 2013, he is thrilled to help share his experience and guidance to actors seeking to develop their on-camera careers.

TARA OCHS (Laura Solas)

Tara Ochs is a producer, comedy improviser and voice-over artist based out of Atlanta, GA. Film/TV credits include the civil rights martyr Viola Liuzzo in Selma, and the first mom in Too Many Cooks. She performs live comedy at Dad’s Garage (Atlanta) in the evenings and by day she develops television for Dagger Originals. Ochs has helped get a number of scripts sold to major networks and studios. Her voice can also be heard narrating books for Hachette, Audible and Lantern audiobooks, as well as on Aaron Mahnke’s 12 Ghosts podcast.

JONATHAN HORNE (Deacon Hadley)

Jonathan is a former high school English teacher, turned actor. After a decade in regional theatre (with over 50 productions, playing everything from Hamlet to The Elephant Man), Jonathan now works almost exclusively in film and television. Having been privileged to play a variety of well-meaning nice guys (most notably Lee Grazer on the hit comedy The Ms. Pat Show), Jonathan’s real love is finding humanity in dark, broken characters like Deacon Hadley. He lives with his wife and pet snake in Atlanta, is repped by Privilege Talent, and is a proud union man. Jonathan is thrilled to be reunited with Dan on this labor of love and hopes you enjoy!

DAN BUSH – CREATOR | DIRECTOR | CO-WRITER | PRODUCER

Dan is an American screenwriter, director, editor, and producer known for THE SIGNAL, THE VAULT (starring James Franco), THE DARK RED, and TOMORROW’S MONSTERS (Starring John Boyega and Darren Criss). Dan has been obsessed with storytelling and filmmaking his entire life. He’s worked in various positions on a multitude of film sets for thirty years. He’s known as an actor’s director and is celebrated for making character-driven films. In 2007 Dan co-wrote and co-directed The Signal. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released by Magnolia Pictures. It was nominated for several awards, including Best Picture at the Sitges Film Festival and the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards. In 2012 Dan co-wrote and directed his acclaimed sci-fi thriller, The Reconstruction of William Zero, and his award-winning, mind-bending short, Ghost of Old Highways. Dan’s latest film, The Dark Red, premiered at the prestigious Austin Film Festival and was released in theaters in 2020.

Nicholas Tecosky is an American writer and voice actor. He was one of the screenwriters ofthe horror omnibus V/H/S, which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.His podcast credits includeTomorrow’s Monsters, 13 Days of Halloween, 12 Ghosts of Christmas and TheMantawaukCaves. ZOE COOPER – CO-WRITER

Zoe Cooper is a Los Angeles-based film and television screenwriter. An alum of the 2020 Blacklist/Women in Film Feature Residency, Zoe’s work is primarily genre-focused with an emphasis on horror. Other narrative podcast credits include episodes of Aaron Mahnke’s 13 Days of Halloween and 12 Ghosts. Zoe is represented by WME and Aperture Entertainment. 

BEN LOVETT – COMPOSER

Ben Lovett is an American composer and songwriter whose diverse range of original scores include Hulu’s recent reimagining of Clive Barker’s iconic Hellraiser, Netflix’s The Ritual and Searchlight Pictures’ The Night House from director David Bruckner; Jim Cummings’ tragicomedy The Wolf of Snow Hollow from Orion Pictures; Emma Tammi’s avant-garde western The Wind; Amy Seimetz’s award-winning drama Sun Don’t Shine; Erin Derham’scolorful nature documentary Stuffed, and Jacob Gentry’s sci-fi noir Synchronicity, which earned Lovett a nomination for “Discovery of the Year” at the prestigious World Soundtrack Awards.

LERA LYNN

Lera Lynn has spent a decade blurring the boundaries between genres, carving out a sound inspired by art-pop, indie-folk, and the outer edges of American roots music. She’s a singer/songwriter. A road warrior. A multi-instrumentalist and producer capable not only of collaborating with her heroes, as she did on 2018’s Plays Well With Others, but also of forging an entire album without outside help, as she did on 2020’s On My Own, Nothing, though, could have prepared Lynn for the lessons learned during motherhood. Series Premiere. When Julien Solas receives word that James Fincher’s execution date has been set, he returns to Mantawauk County after 14 years to reconcile his past and uncover the truth behind the killings of two teenage boys.

With the help of Jill Campbel, a mitigation specialist working on Fincher’s case, Julien acquires logs from the Hadley brother’s murder investigation and picks up a mysterious trail left by Detective Solomon Smith. He soon realizes he’s up against more than he bargained for.

Despite the worsening nightmares and blackouts, Julien continues his investigation, connecting the dots between James Fincher’s fascination with the Mantawauk Caves and their disturbing history. The true identity of James Fincher’s nephew is revealed.
